Review: Waterdrop G3 Reverse Osmosis - Is It Worth the Hype?

By The Gear Logic TeamUpdated: January 28, 2026
Modern Kitchen

Tap water quality is a growing concern. The Waterdrop G3 is a tankless Reverse Osmosis (RO) system that claims to fit under any sink and provide pure water instantly. We put it to the taste test.

Installation & Design

The "tankless" design is the killer feature here. It saves massive amounts of space under the sink compared to traditional RO systems. Installation took us about 40 minutes, which is reasonable for plumbing equipment.

Taste & Flow Rate

The water tastes crisp—comparable to premium bottled water. The flow rate is impressive (800 GPD model tested); it fills a glass in about 6 seconds. The smart faucet display that shows TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) in real-time is a nice touch.

The Verdict

The Gear Logic Score
8.8/10

A sleek, modern solution for clean drinking water. Expensive, but worth it for the design and speed.

PROS

  • Space-saving tankless design
  • Fast water flow
  • Easy filter replacement

CONS

  • Requires power outlet under sink
  • Filters are proprietary
