Navigation claims can range from timed movement to mapping and sensor-based route planning. Real pool geometry can affect results. An app may offer scheduling, modes, firmware updates, or manual retrieval, but wireless communication through water is limited. Confirm which features work while submerged and which require the robot to surface.

Retrieval, Weight, And Storage

A water-filled robot can feel much heavier than its dry specification. Look for a sturdy handle, edge-parking or retrieval behavior, and a process that does not rely on pulling a charging cable unless the manufacturer explicitly permits it. Plan shaded, ventilated storage and follow battery temperature guidance.
